"The Riverside County Workforce
Investment Board (WIB) is proud to support the Smooth Transition, Inc. program. Creating sustainable partnerships will
have a direct impact on reducing the teen drop-out rate, pregnancy, homelessness and crime rates. The WIB looks
forward to the success of the Smooth Transition, Inc. program and a longstanding relationship that creates "infinite
opportunity, long lasting prosperity" for our workforce"

calling answered by the advocates at Smooth Transition provides opportunities to the youth of our community through their
educational programs and mentorships. In addition to keeping young people on track academically, they develop their
life skills and mentor them through the employment process. Smooth Transition's ultimate goal is to create contributing
members to our community"

"It has been a great experience
working with Smooth Transition, based in Riverside County. The nonprofit organization is transparent and committed to serving
the diverse and underserved populations of Riverside County. Ms. Goins has a vision for her agency and she is to be commended
for providing sound leadership to her organization -- against all economic and personal challenges. She has been able
to navigate the agency to a point where she has already served 100 students within the first year of operation and is already
in the process of developing other Smooth Transition sites around Southern California. Ms. Goins directs the agency
under a clear umbrella of accountability, inclusiveness and foresight. It is not a surprise that her staff, board and her
stakeholders support her efforts to bring training, education and mentoring opportunities to a region that has been severely
hit hard by recession. We will continue to advocate for more funding for organizations such as Smooth Transition that show
tangible outcomes for their clients who are facing economic hardship and other barriers."
Kausar Ahmad - President KNAECO International
"Under our present partnership,
Smooth Transition provides a menu of life-skills classes to the at-risk segment of our community and to the low income population
in general. Classes such as Basic Computers, English as a Second Language, GED Preparation courses and Personal Goal
Setting seminars are a sampling of some of the course offerings. The library has been extremely pleased to partner
with Robin Goins, President and Executive Director of Smooth Transition, in order to provide these quality programs to
the public at no cost. Smooth Transition provides much needed training that easily translates into marketable job skills.
We are extremely please to work closely with Robin and Smooth Transition and look forward to building this mutually beneficial

"The volume of people obtaining their GED in our DHS and Cathedral City offices is nothing short
of a miracle in my eyes! You are changing lives and potentially future generations. I so appreciate you and how
you connect to people in a way to get them to want to succeed! Your success and the success of Smooth Transition
is monumental. I have been in the welfare business 23 years and I have not ever seen successes like we are seeing now"
Regional Manager - Riverside County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS)
Transition has table time in several of the cities libraries, and excellent work is being accomplished. It is critical
to help those who are unemployed, underemployed or in part-time work. Smooth Transition is able to provide important
direction and support. More personally, I respect and applaud your work"
Ronald O. Loveridge - Mayor City of Riverside (Retired)

is CVHC's goal. This can only be accomplished through collaborative partnerships to address the pressing needs in the
community. CVHS's partnership with Smooth Transition, Inc. will help meet the community needs by helping low-income
families increase their opportunities for success to help them break the poverty cycle".

"Our community will be well served
by this organization's programs in financial literacy, and the skills needed by our residents to be self-sufficient in this
Parks - Mayor City of Desert Hot
applaud the inspiring work of Robin Goins and Smooth Transitions, Inc. The nonprofit organization's life skills courses and
trainings are right on target to meet the needs of teens and young adults. I had the good fortune to teach a class recently,
and the curriculum provided students with a variety of critical tools they will need to succeed in today's complex world.
They developed skills, for example, in the arenas of personal financial management, career development and job search; and
took personality assessments that led to valuable self-awareness and insights. In addition, the students are now armed with
self-confidence, motivation, and positive expectation as they reach for future success. This much-needed class should be taught
in all high schools today!"
