Robin Goins, MS - President / Executive Director
Robin
Goins holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, a Masters in Industrial and Organizational
Psychology from Capella University, and is currently working on her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Capella
University (estimated completion Mar 2010). She is an experienced online instructor, and serves as faculty for several
well respected colleges and universities. She has over 8 years of extensive experience in the online instruction medium and
work extensively in online curriculum development and working to bring quality online education to the world. Robin is an
experienced executive coach and trainer, working with executives and managers in transition, and coaching them on life and
career management strategies. She has over 30 years of experience in business and management, having worked in corporate
construction and home building industries for the majority of that time. As President of Smooth Transition Inc., Robin oversees the educational development elements of the
program and works with students and universities on ground and online to provide the best educational training and options
available for those within the program. As a college professor specializing in psychology, sociology, career development,
life planning and motivational theory, Robin provides the youth within the program with the education and tools needed to
move to the next level. Being a pioneer in the field of online and hybrid learning, she is an active member of the Society
for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP) as well as other online
professional groups such as The Sloan Consortium, E-Learning 2.0, Instructional Design Professional
Group, Online College Executives and Professionals, Innovative Learning Group, Moodlers, InfoPro Learning, Learning as a Service

has received the Cambridge Who's Who Top Women her Field award for 2009, is ranked as a Platinum consultant in
the top 20% for Gerson Lehrman Group and received the Helium Magazine Premiere Writer Award for 2008. In addition, as a practicing Industrial and Organizational
Psychologist, Robin serves as a liaison between employers and program participants ensuring successful placement and prolonged

Frank "Skip" Day, MBA - Board Historian, Mentor and Trainer Frank holds a Master in business from the University of Redlands and has worked
for Southern California Edison for over 29 years. He serves as manager supervising crews responsible for the installation
and maintenance of high voltage emergency switching for 25% of SCE's territory. in addition, Frank served as a primary instructor for apprentice lineman courses in advanced electrical theory,
transformer theory, mathematics, grid operations and distribution apparatus classes for Southern California Edison, he processes
the designs, develops, documents, updates, delivers
and modifies existing and new course curriculum for internal and external clients. He evaluates existing lesson plans and facilitate updates and promotes NJATC training.
He has an in-depth knowledge in the construction, operation,
maintenance, planning and inspection of SCE’s distribution electrical system(s). Skip is the recipient of the Silver Horton Award, Employee of the Month and Platinum Customer
Service Award from SCE and brings a wealth of knowledge and training experience to Smooth Transition. He delivers
that knowledge to program participants as well as vast leadership and business management experience to the Board of
